About The Artist
I am from Elon, NC. My art style is abstract and portrait. I work mainly with acrylic on canvas. This piece is titled “For Colored Girls” and was influenced by Ntozake Shange‘s choreopoem “For Colored Girls who Have Considered Suicide/When the Rainbow is Enuf”. With my art I hope to capture the movement of African American literature and life.
